Senior Project Lead
Contract Opportunity – 6 months + potential extension
Location – REMOTE – USA *MUST HAVE PRIOR STATE OF TEXAS EXPERIENCE


**The Consultant will work remotely for this role but must have prior State of Texas Agency experience and Health and Human Services experience strongly preferred. Must hold PMP Certification**

Our government client is in need of a strong Senior Project Lead for a long-term project to work on numerous interesting and ongoing projects. This is an elite organization relied upon to provide trustworthy oversight across the state of Texas.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field
  • PMP certification is required
  • At least 10 years of experience in a Project/Program Manager role
  • Excellent background in large scale/Enterprise wide implementation projects
  • Experience leading several Project Managers and Project Leads
  • Previous Project management expertise working with various stakeholders within the whole SDLC
  • Experience working on projects utilizing Agile project management methodologies
  • Prior experience working for a State of Texas Agency as an Employee or Contractor
  • Strong experience with Microsoft toolset – Word, Project, Visio, Excel
  • Excellent communication skills – written/verbal

Daily Duties:
  • Responsible for project planning, coordinating requirements gathering, business analysis, specifications development, project monitoring, and project status reporting for systems implementation of moderate to complex business solutions
  • Perform project coordination, oversight, and all corresponding project work
  • Uncover areas for improvement and enhancements within the agency and business units
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
  • Effectively communicate all requirements to cross-functional team members and management
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports
  • Report back on overall project health, and provide overall project/program guidance
  • Help prioritize project deliverables based on business needs and requirements
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion/implementation of projects
