We are currently recruiting for a Network Services Manager for a long term project with one of our clients who will be responsible for integrating the Video/Data into Network Monitoring Hubs in the Southern Texas region. The Network Services Manager will be supervising a team and will serve a critical role directly responsible for sustainment activities of technology installed on relocatable towers, as well as command and control centers throughout Laredo and McAllen, TX.
In order to be considered you should have 4-5 years of work experience directly related to network administration and support with previous leadership and/or management experience. In addition, it is required that the candidate has an active CBP Background clearance or previously held a CBP clearance within the past 5 years. This is a NOC/SOC type environment, therefore weekend availability may be necessary when required.
In this role you will be responsible for the analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.

Specific Duties
  • Supervises the activities of employees involved in installation and sustainment operations.
  • Performs initial troubleshooting tasks  for all major subsystems, and escalates to OEM and internal subject matter experts, as needed.
  • Supervises the workflow of subordinate installation subcontractor workers as part of corrective maintenance
  • Coordinates scheduling and communication and acts as a liaison to project management concerning subcontracting, work order progress and delays
  • Assigns subcontractor tasks to maximize productivity, minimize costs, and maintain quality.
  • May direct staff through subordinate 'lead' employees.
  • May be responsible for estimates, schedules, materials, and purchase orders.
  • Performs initial troubleshooting tasks for all major subsystems, and escalates to OEM and internal subject matter experts, as needed.
  • Reviews and compiles operations records, such as trouble tickets, subcontractor work orders, asset management, and monthly activity reports.
  • Coordinate work schedules for a small team of local Network Operations and Security Operations (NOC/SOC) individuals responsible for system monitoring and reporting.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
