Contract – 18-24months
We are assisting our client in a search for a team of Telecom Construction Supervisors and Managers for a long term project in the Chicago, IL area.  This is an “in market” role and must be physically in the state of MA with the ability to tend to ongoing construction sites. The initial contract length is 18-24 months.
  • At least 3+ years in telecom tower or wireless construction services
  • Must demonstrate sufficient skills and judgment to successfully complete larger or more complex telecom construction projects along with civil work required
  • Must have good knowledge in workers safety and work environment safety
  • Team leadership focusing on quality and results
  • Must have strong communication and client interfacing skills
  • Must possess excellent data management skills (excel and other tracking software)
  • **Must be able to pass pre-employment verification requirements for background, DMV & drug test

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for duties that may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Perform site visits to inspect and observe that a wireless construction project is progressing according to the plans and specifications of the project
  • Coordinate all site activities according to project goals and completion deadlines
  • Responsible for all pre and post construction audits
  • Responsible for the proper interpretation and compliance of the civil design plans
  • Coordinate materials testing, surveying services and other sub professional services that may be required
  • Drive scheduled activities and trouble-shoot areas for concern
  • Identify unforeseen conditions or errors in the plans or specifications and communicate such to the attention of their manager or the client
  • Maintain an accurate set of field notes and daily diary with good data management skills
  • Ensure sound knowledge of specific plans and specifications, restrictions and right of ways, permits, test procedures, schedules, shop drawings, utility locations and information related to the project
  • Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with construction contractors or subcontractors, and engineering/architectural design team
  • May be required to supervise less experienced staff
  • Prepare daily reports and interval progress reports along with progress photos and record documentation
  • Monitor and record contractor’s work performance with the contract requirements and conducts final inspections, prepares punch lists, and collect documentation for closing out of contracts
