We are seeking a technical hands-on Data Science Manager, a real self-starter with an entrepreneurial mentality and a strategic approach to build out real time digital intelligence capabilities.  This is an extremely high-profile role for a global reputable organization. The position can be based anywhere in the US and offers an incredible compensation/benefits/perks package.
 
 
Requirements 
  • BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research or related field – Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in technical operations roles (Data Science, Cloud Computing)
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience managing IT resources
  • Demonstrated expertise and ability to provide technical leadership in developing novel machine learning approaches, deep-dive web data analytics, and representation
  • Proven experience managing in an Agile environment using analytically-oriented languages such as Python or R and state-of-the-art machine learning tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Keras, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas
  • Advanced statistical, machine learning, and/or data mining techniques
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to relate with and supervise teams, as well as to communicate technical content and analytical insights/complex findings in a clear and concise manner to multiple audiences, including senior management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary and diverse global teams 
 
Daily Duties
  • Craft and build out digital data science ecosystem by demonstrating modern technology and approach in AWS, GCP, Adobe, and other related platforms
  • Apply knowledge of machine learning, web data, digital technology, cloud platforms and use case applications to embed the machine learning in customer-facing and internal processes
  • Work with partners across functions and product verticals: product managers, content and ecommerce teams, engineers, sales and marketing, program management to improve customer's digital experience
  • Provide direction, roadmaps, and blueprints
  • Develop code and models to understand customers and process gaps
  • Build/cultivate a team with clear roles and common goals
  • Outline and evaluate proper metrics for model performance aligned with business goals
