We are seeking a technical hands-on Data Analytics Engineer, a real self-starter with an entrepreneurial mentality and a strategic approach to build out real time digital intelligence capabilities.  This is an extremely high-profile role for a global reputable organization. Potential candidates must be local to the Newark, NJ area.   • BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research or related field – Master’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in technical operations roles (Data Science/Data Analytics)
  • Some supervisory or leadership experience on significant projects
  • Demonstrated expertise and ability to provide technical leadership in developing novel machine learning approaches, deep-dive web data analytics, and representation
  • Passionate about extracting conclusions out of big data sets and transforming it into fact based decisions
  • Prior experience working in an Agile environment using analytically-oriented languages such as Python or R, and SQL and other state-of-the-art machine learning tools
  • Advanced statistical, machine learning, and/or data mining techniques
  • Proven skills in Data Warehouse architecture (preferably Cloud based)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to relate with and supervise teams, as well as to communicate technical content and analytical insights/complex findings in a clear and concise manner to multiple audiences, including senior management
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary and diverse global teams

Daily Duties
  • Provide scientific data support to North American Operations and other customers within Global Operations
  • Work with partners across functions and product verticals: product managers, content and ecommerce teams, engineers, sales and marketing, program management to improve customer's digital experience
  • Develop code and models to understand customers and process gaps
  • Contribute to establishing guidelines and a framework for a shared data infrastructure
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to ensure a stable processes yielding excellent customer experience via a proven analytical approach
  • Provide training direction to assist and accelerate set-up of local data teams
  • Develop and implement data collection systems
  • Outline and evaluate proper metrics for model performance aligned with business goals
  • Develop and monitor KPI’s to support the production teams for quality improvement initiatives
  • Work with other team members on creating new cloud based shared data mesh
  • Optimize statistical efficiency and data quality from all acquired data
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends of patterns in complex big data sets to improve yield, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Assist in deploying decision support and predictive analytics digital solutions
