Marketing Project Manager - Global Events
Position: 3-6 month contract to hire
Location: North Dallas (Hybrid)
 
Our client is a well-established High Tech global company.  The team is growing and they are in need of a Marketing Project Manager to project manage a variety of global events.  The ideal candidate will be sharp, able to think clearly and quickly through scenarios, be detailed, organized and a “wearer of many hats”.  Previous events management and contract review is a must.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA, PMP or other advanced degree and certifications a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience in special events planning and communications
  • Strong experience with pre-event planning, qualifying and managing deliverables
  • Good experience in post-event review by capturing highlights, funneling leads, and analyzing feedback
  • Previous experience in a high-tech, telecommunications or a global technology firm is critical
  • Impeccable time management and organization skills with the ability to manage several tasks/projects simultaneously to meet deliverable deadlines - especially servicing a global clientele
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to interface with executive stakeholders and outside vendors with strong presentation skills
  • Must be an expert with the MSOffice suite and have some proficiency in image creation products like Photoshop, Affinity Photo and other project management tracking software
  • Must be a strong team-player, self-motivated and have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment
 
Daily Duties:
  • Responsible for review of former events and gathering data on successful events for planning future ones with logistics, coordination, and follow-up to events team for proposals
  • Perform appropriate contract review and flagging of areas for consideration to management
  • Coordinate, develop and implement event timelines to ensure all events are executed efficiently and effectively according to deadlines with proper logistics
  • Consistently handle multiple events and priorities by creating and maintaining an event tracking system including checklists and forms
  • Research and recommend appropriate venues when required
  • Ensure a weekly list of new events being proposed are reviewed, approved and added to an events report for management 
  • Oversee and project manage some virtual events
  • Work through contingency plans with vendors and attendees on bookings
