Technical Writer – Network Infrastructure
Contract Position: 12-24 months
Location: Austin, TX

We are looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our client’s Network Infrastructure Operations. Come join a team of talented tech writers who work collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • 4+years of proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
  • Basic familiarity with the SDLC of software development and network infrastructure
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
  • Strong experience in composing, compiling, organizing, researching, writing, editing, producing and maintaining technical documents and manuals
  • Ability to understand and translate the user's view of applications and technology to put procedures in logical sequence
  • Ability to develop and maintain user technical documentation and project process documentation
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Ability to Work under limited supervision, exercise initiative and good independent judgment
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
  • Develop and maintain user and technical documentation and project process documentation for Telecommunication Network Operations
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Provide expertise on technical concepts of network applications with a broad understanding of the applications
  • Write a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
  • May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
