Senior Project Manager – EHR Implementation Location: Remote, USA (candidates residing in Texas will be considered first) Contract: 6-12 months
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in EHR implementation to lead complex projects across the organization. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience managing large-scale projects, including EHR systems, application migration, and data conversion. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams to ensure project success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field
Must hold a PMP Certification
10+ years of project management experience, with a focus on EHR implementation or large-scale application migrations
10+ years of experience in database management (e.g., InterSystems Caché, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) and using project management tools (MS Project, Jira, etc.)
Proven ability to manage data migration activities and develop implementation strategies
Experience in EHR application domains and managing vendor relationships
Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and working with senior leadership
5+ years of experience with SaaS-based EHR systems and cloud data migrations
Familiarity with HHSC Federal/State processes and project documentation (e.g., business case, project charters)
Experience with SDLC and data mapping for large-scale migrations

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Proven ability to build relationships with diverse teams, stakeholders, and vendors
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of EHR implementation and migration projects. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Create key project documents (business case, charters, schedules) and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Manage the implementation and migration of EHR systems, including working with vendors, IT teams, and business owners. Ensure best practices are followed.
Develop and oversee data migration strategies, including data mapping, cleaning, and conversion efforts.
Serve as the liaison between business users, IT, and vendors, ensuring alignment on project goals and progress.
Manage and inspire cross-functional project teams, ensuring high productivity and collaboration.
Identify and resolve project issues, risks, and challenges.
Escalate issues as needed and ensure timely resolution.
