Project Manager - PMO #2495

Project Manager - PMO
Contract Position – 12 months+
Location:  Remote – Texas (must be physically located in Texas)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the IT PMO and oversee multiple concurrent complex projects.


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related discipline
  • PMP certification
  • At least 8 years of IT Project Management experience leading complex projects
  • Extensive experience managing project scopes, risk, estimates, and corrective actions for cost overruns
  • Proficient in setting project goals, analyzing information, making decisions, and negotiating effectively
  • Strong background in evaluating business systems and understanding user and stakeholder needs
  • Proven experience in facilitating business process mapping, reengineering, and applying technology to improve business efficiency
  • At least 5 years of experience documenting detailed IT solution requirements
  • 3 years collecting requirements across multiple, geographically dispersed program areas
  • Experience presenting to IT management and executive leadership

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage all phases of assigned IT projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
  • Follow the project management life cycle (PMLC) and established guidelines for project processes, artifacts, and archiving
  • Oversee project tasks to ensure compliance with development processes, quality standards, and both functional and contractual requirements
  • Apply SDLC methodologies (requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance) across project stages
  • Work with internal teams and contractors to plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate work in a matrixed environment
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, resource requirements, and cost estimates
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and acceptance criteria, and resolve any issues with work products
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, management, and third-party vendors
  • Monitor vendor performance, document system requirements, and work independently to meet deadlines
