Vice President, Medical Malpractice Risk Management Location: Remote, USA
Our client, a leading national risk management firm specializing in healthcare coverage, is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Risk to join their growing team. This senior leadership role will primarily oversee medical malpractice insurance for a wide range of healthcare clients, including those in medicine, nursing, optometry, dentistry, pharmacy, and other allied health professions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in medical malpractice brokerage and a passion for client relationship management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline
Minimum of 7 years in the P&C insurance industry, with a focus on medical malpractice.
Proven success in managing complex accounts.
At least 2 years of experience leading and mentoring a team, optimizing team performance.
In-depth knowledge of medical malpractice insurance, risk transfer strategies, and state/federal laws governing medical malpractice.
Broad network of medical malpractice carrier relationships and deep market knowledge.
Active Residential Property & Casualty Insurance License (in state of residence), EPIC system experience preferred.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first mentality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of healthcare clients.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and day-to-day contacts.
Develop and execute customized risk management solutions and insurance programs that align with clients' needs, business strategies, and risk profiles.
Manage and mentor a team of 5 professionals fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Drive new business opportunities and retain existing clients through tailored, strategic solutions.
Contribute to firm-wide revenue growth and client retention.
Analyze industry trends, pricing practices, and insurance carrier capabilities to develop the best risk financing structures for clients.
Work closely with internal teams, including senior leadership, to ensure optimal service delivery and cross-selling opportunities across the organization.
Support the M&A team and assist in sales processes and acquisition strategies.
Oversee account profitability and lead the design and execution of account stewardship plans.
