Principal Solutions Engineer

We have been retained by our high-profile client to support them in securing Principal Solutions Engineer to serve as the technical lead and owner of a product from inception to launch and beyond. This role combines hands-on engineering, solution architecture, and team leadership, ensuring product success through scalable execution and strategic alignment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years in full-stack or backend-heavy development with experience building scalable systems and launching MVPs.
  • Deep knowledge of modern system architecture, microservices, APIs, and Azure Cloud
  • Strong grasp of engineering trade-offs (speed vs. scale vs. maintainability).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with technical execution.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, unblock progress, and deliver high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Owns the technical vision and execution for assigned products.
  • Leads solution architecture and makes critical technical decisions from MVP through scale.
  • Designs and builds solutions aligned with product goals and engineering standards.
  • Collaborates across functions (DevOps, security, infrastructure, data) to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Proactively removes blockers and resolves cross-team dependencies.
  • Serves as a “player-coach” guiding and mentoring engineers while contributing technically
  • Partners with Product Managers on feasibility, prioritization, and trade-offs.
  • Enforces engineering best practices in code quality, CI/CD, and testing.
  • Maintains high standards for performance, security, and maintainability
