Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, including as an ISSO or equivalent role.
- 4 years of experience applying the NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and applicable state-level security standards.
- 4 years of experience conducting and documenting risk assessments, including supporting documentation and reporting.
- Active Security+ certification or equivalent.
- Experience working under and managing critical project timelines.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical security topics to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform security assessments aligned with the NIST Risk Management Framework and applicable state-level standards.
- Review account permissions, data access needs, programming changes, and potential security violations by engaging with users to assess access controls.
- Coordinate the development and deployment of system security plans with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Provide guidance to leadership and technical staff on secure configurations and procedures.
- Design and recommend strategies to protect information systems from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other threats.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct technical security assessments on both new and existing systems, including data center and physical security environments.
- Research and recommend modern tools and processes for identifying, preventing, and responding to security threats and incidents.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
