Senior Telecom Project Manager – Broadband Deployment
Location: Dallas, Texas – 4 days onsite (Downtown Dallas)
Contract: 18-24 months with potential for extension


We are seeking a highly experienced Telecom Project Manager to lead the deployment of a Private Broadband Core Network within a complex, multi-vendor environment. This role will oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to operational handover, ensuring the successful delivery of a secure, resilient core network solution. This includes managing key elements such as network signaling, authentication, routing, traffic management, and integration with broader systems. 

The ideal candidate will be able to provide:
  • On-time, on-budget deployment and handover of geo-redundant broadband core and lab networks.
  • Alignment with network security and integration requirements.
  • Effective cross-functional coordination and vendor collaboration.
  • Timely, clear communication of project risks, milestones, and deliverables.

Qualifications:
  • PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification(s).
  • 10+ years of project management experience with telecommunications core network deployments.
  • Previous deployment experience in critical or high-security environments.
  • Familiarity with OSI model and networking fundamentals.
  • Deep knowledge of 4G/5G Core network architecture, including EPC and 5G SA.
  • Understanding of key protocols and interfaces (e.g., SCTP, TCP/UDP, DIAMETER, GTP, IPsec).
  • Familiarity with LTE call flows, SIM provisioning, roaming, MOCN, and MC-PTT solutions.
  • Proven success managing large-scale projects in multi-vendor environments.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
  • Experience with Agile, PMBOK, and formal change management methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze risks, manage dependencies, and make informed decisions in fast-paced settings.
  • Strong fiscal accountability and budget management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary project liaison across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Lead end-to-end project planning and execution following defined project management methodologies.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget for the core broadband deployment.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and resolve interdependencies and conflicts.
  • Oversee development and delivery of project artifacts: requirements, design, testing documentation, and handoff materials.
  • Track and report on project status, financials, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders and PMO.
  • Ensure clear communication between technical teams, business units, and leadership.
  • Promote process improvements and change management initiatives as applicable.
  • Deliver quality documentation and ensure project compliance with organizational standards.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
