They're seeking a Senior GitLab Platform Administrator with deep expertise in GitLab Self-Managed, infrastructure automation, and DevOps best practices to help take their platform to the next level.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys optimizing complex systems, and takes pride in building scalable, secure, and reliable pipelines. Qualifications and Experience Required:
BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of experience administering complex enterprise applications and tools
Software Configuration Management expertise
Strong hands-on experience with GitLab, Artifactory, Xray, and SonarQube
Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible)
Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud)
Skilled in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
Experience with CI/CD concepts, SDLC methodologies, and DevOps culture

GitLab Certified Administrator
Recent hands-on experience with GitLab Self-Managed
Prior experience in build management, configuration management, or quality testing
Background in Agile, CI/CD, and SCM practices
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and scale GitLab Self-Managed (runners, groups, projects, permissions, backup/restore)
Harden GitLab for enterprise use including SAML/SSO, LDAP, and RBAC configuration
Build, optimize, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and YAML best practices
Automate infrastructure provisioning and pipeline operations with Terraform and Ansible
Implement and champion GitOps practices across development teams
Support and guide application teams in adopting GitLab workflows and best practices
Develop and maintain runbooks, wiki pages, and reusable pipeline templates
Integrate observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) for platform and pipeline health
Enforce code quality, compliance, and security guardrails across pipelines
Provide operational support and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations
