NERC CIP & Cybersecurity Analyst
Contract: 6–12 months
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – local candidates only)

We are seeking an experienced NERC CIP & Cybersecurity Analyst with a strong background in compliance, cybersecurity, and operational technology (OT) to support a critical energy infrastructure environment. This role will partner with Operations, Cybersecurity, Engineering, and Compliance teams to maintain regulatory compliance, strengthen security controls, manage risk, and drive operational improvements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in NERC CIP, OT, transmission operations, cybersecurity, compliance, or a related utility environment
  • Strong knowledge of NERC CIP standards and electric utility compliance
  • Experience with TMS, EMS, OT, or other critical infrastructure environments
  • Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, plans, standards, and compliance documentation
  • Knowledge of vulnerability, patch, access, and configuration management
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance evidence, and regulatory readiness
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively across technical, business, and compliance teams

Duties
  • Support daily operations within a critical OT/TMS environment
  • Maintain and enhance NERC CIP policies, procedures, plans, and compliance documentation
  • Monitor compliance with NERC CIP, cybersecurity, and organizational requirements
  • Identify risks, compliance gaps, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Support vulnerability, patch, access, and configuration management activities
  • Coordinate secure and compliant implementation of operational changes
  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to strengthen security and compliance controls
  • Support internal and external audits, including evidence collection and documentation
  • Communicate risks, issues, milestones, and compliance requirements to stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement across operational and compliance processes
