Senior Business Systems Analyst
Contract Length:  12+ months

Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) *ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to analyze business requirements, evaluate existing systems, and develop technology solutions that improve business processes and system functionality. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills and be comfortable working independently with business and technical teams.

*MUST HAVE Experience with healthcare applications.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in business and systems analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, evaluating, and documenting user and system requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience identifying business problems, evaluating alternatives, and developing technology solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience performing cost/benefit analysis of systems and alternative solutions.
  • Familiarity with information architecture, information management methodologies, software architecture, and infrastructure components.
  • Experience documenting user needs, program functions, system requirements, data inputs/outputs, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of IT industry trends, emerging technologies, and enterprise architecture concepts.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and exercise sound judgment and initiative.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyze business objectives, processes, and problems to identify effective technology solutions.
  • Gather and document detailed business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Review existing systems and recommend enhancements or process improvements.
  • Develop detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and system modifications.
  • Analyze operational procedures and identify opportunities to automate or improve processes.
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Work with business users and technical teams to define data input, processing, output, and reporting requirements.
  • Evaluate system capabilities, technical specifications, and scheduling constraints.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, project managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Research emerging technologies and evaluate their potential application within the organization.
  • Apply knowledge of application, information, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture concepts.
  • Communicate recommendations and technical information effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
