Technical Project Manager – Data Management (Agile Delivery Focus)
Contract: 6–12 months
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – local candidates only)

The ideal candidate has recent experience managing Agile teams, owns day-to-day project execution, and is comfortable working closely with data teams, architects, and engineers. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager (not program manager) with direct ownership of delivery
- 3+ years of recent Agile/Scrum experience in a hands-on role (Scrum Master responsibilities required)
- Proven experience managing day-to-day execution, including:
- Task tracking
- Sprint execution
- Resource coordination
- Issue resolution
- Strong experience with Agile tools, especially:
- Jira (required)
- Confluence (required)
- Experience with project estimation, planning, and scheduling (must be clearly demonstrated)
- Ability to break down high-level requirements into detailed work plans
Technical Requirements
- Experience working with data-focused projects (Data Management, Data Warehousing, ETL, etc.)
- Strong understanding of SQL (must be able to work with data teams and understand queries)
- Familiarity with databases such as Oracle or similar platforms
***What We’re NOT Looking For***
- Program Managers overseeing portfolios without hands-on execution
- PMs with primarily Waterfall experience
- Candidates without recent Agile delivery experience
- PMs who have not recently managed tasks, teams, and sprint execution directly
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end delivery of data-focused projects, including planning, estimation, execution, and reporting
- Act as Scrum Master and Project Manager, leading:
- Daily stand-ups
- Sprint planning
- Backlog grooming
- Sprint reviews and retrospectives
- Manage detailed project plans, including task breakdowns, dependencies, and resource assignments
- Drive accurate estimation and capacity planning with technical teams
- Track and manage work in Jira and Confluence (hands-on, daily usage required)
- Identify and proactively resolve delivery risks, blockers, and dependencies
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements
- Provide clear, concise reporting to leadership, including executive-level updates
