PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable Functional Analyst
Contract Length:  12+ months

Location: Austin, Texas (telework)

Summary
We're seeking a senior-level functional consultant to support a large PeopleSoft based financial and HR/payroll system serving a statewide government agency network. This role owns Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts module expertise, spanning configuration, production support, integrations, and cross-agency training. You'll work independently under minimal supervision, partnering with policy teams, agency stakeholders, and a Tier 3 managed services vendor to keep a mission critical fiscal system running smoothly.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Senior level experience with PeopleSoft Financials, particularly Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts modules
  • Hands on configuration experience: AR Business Units, Customer Master Data, Payment Methods/Terms, Entry Types, Distribution Codes, Accounting Rules, Aging IDs, Collection Rules, and related setup
  • Working knowledge of Application Designer, SQR, BI Publisher, and strong SQL proficiency
  • Understanding of PeopleSoft security models, including multi-tenant environments
  • Experience with PUM/Change Assistant, Fluid UI, and selective adoption processes
  • Familiarity with incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and ITIL practices
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
  • Experience gathering requirements for large scale projects and working in Agile/SDLC environments
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks (e.g., NIST) is a plus

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Serve as subject matter expert for AR/CR module configuration, maintenance, and issue resolution
  • Monitor and troubleshoot AR batch jobs, including scheduling, failure response, and performance tuning
  • Lead business process design, testing (functional and UAT), and change management for module enhancements
  • Support integrations across Cash Receipts, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Asset Management, and Project Costing
  • Coordinate fiscal year end activities, including reconciliations and system configuration
  • Create and review Functional Design Documents and lead functional configuration efforts
  • Provide Level 2 service desk support and escalate complex issues to Tier 3 as needed
  • Deliver training and cross training to agency personnel and junior analysts
  • Participate in Major Incident Management, disaster recovery testing, and annual compliance audits
  • Present at user groups and steering committee meetings as needed
