We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler to join our client's Data Architecture team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data models that support business operations, analytics, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has expertise with erwin Data Modeler, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server, along with experience developing scalable, high-quality data solutions. Working closely with data architects, DBAs, ETL developers, and business stakeholders, the Data Modeler translates complex business requirements into well-structured data models that align with enterprise data governance, performance, and integration standards.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on data modeling experience in enterprise environments
- Advanced proficiency with erwin Data Modeler (version 9.x or higher preferred), including subject areas, model templates, and DDL generation
- Strong experience with Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c/21c) and Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or newer)
- Advanced SQL skills with extensive knowledge of DDL, including creating and modifying tables, indexes, constraints, sequences, synonyms, and materialized views
- Strong understanding of database internals, including indexing strategies, partitioning, clustering, and query execution plans
- Experience with data modeling best practices, including normalization, denormalization, surrogate keys, slowly changing dimensions (SCD), and Data Vault (preferred)
- Experience using version control tools such as Git and model comparison/diff tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Experience with Hadoop and/or MongoDB is a plus
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data environments is preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using erwin Data Modeler
- Create, review, and optimize DDL scripts for database objects including tables, views, indexes, constraints, partitions, and other database structures
- Perform forward and reverse engineering of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Collaborate with data architects, database administrators, ETL developers, and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine business requirements
- Develop data models that adhere to normalization standards (3NF/BCNF) while maintaining data quality, integrity, and referential integrity
- Support dimensional modeling initiatives, including star and snowflake schemas for data warehousing and analytics
- Conduct data model reviews, impact analysis, and version control using erwin or comparable modeling tools
- Participate in data governance initiatives, including metadata management, data lineage, and naming standards
- Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability across enterprise environments
- Support database migrations, schema comparisons, and synchronization across Development, QA, and Production environments
- Assist with optimizing existing enterprise data solutions
- Follow established Data Governance and Information Classification & Protection policies
- Participate in architecture and design reviews while collaborating closely with the Data Architecture team
