Senior Finance Manager – Technology
Contract Length:  6-12 months (with potential extension)
Location: Dallas, Texas (hybrid – 3 days onsite) ****LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY****

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead financial planning, forecasting, investment management, and financial governance within a large-scale Technology organization. This highly visible leadership role that will partner with senior leaders to provide strategic financial insight, guide investment and resource allocation decisions, oversee budgeting and long-range financial planning, and deliver executive-level reporting and analysis. The role will also support portfolio performance, capital and asset management, financial controls, and audit and compliance activities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA or other relevant master’s degree preferred.
  • Candidates should have a CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional financial certification.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, investment management, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing capital and operating expenses, investment portfolios, and long-range financial plans.
  • Strong understanding of financial governance, internal controls, SOX requirements, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience presenting financial analysis, recommendations, and business insights to senior leadership and executive audiences.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience partnering across Finance, Accounting, Technology, Strategy, and other business functions.
  • Proven experience with ERP, financial planning, portfolio management, and reporting systems.
  • Prior experience supporting a Technology organization or large-scale technology investment portfolio.
  • Strong experience with capital asset management, capitalization, depreciation, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience with demand planning, portfolio planning, investment prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations.

Duties
  • Lead Technology CapEx, OpEx, and System Resiliency Plan (SRP) financial management activities.
  • Oversee annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, long-range financial planning, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial plans aligned with strategic business and technology priorities.
  • Provide financial analysis, including variance analysis, investment analysis, funding recommendations, and portfolio performance insights.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial governance, controls, processes, and performance measures.
  • Partner with Technology and Finance leadership to evaluate investments, manage resources, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide financial guidance throughout the lifecycle of technology projects and investments.
  • Oversee capital expenditures, asset management, project financials, capitalization, and asset retirements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal policies, SOX controls, regulatory requirements, and financial governance standards.
  • Prepare executive-level financial dashboards, reports, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, controls, and portfolio management practices.
  • Support internal and external audits and provide required financial documentation and analysis.
  • Leverage financial planning, ERP, portfolio management, and reporting systems to improve efficiency, transparency, and decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
