Data Center Project & Operations Analyst
Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)
Location: Dallas, Texas (100% ONSITE) ****LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY****
* Local travel to data center facilities within the DFW area as needed
We are seeking a Data Center Project & Operations Analyst to support data center infrastructure projects, operational initiatives, and resiliency programs for a leading organization in the technology infrastructure space. Working closely with Project Managers, Operations, Facilities, Engineering, Technology, and other functional stakeholders, this role will gather and document requirements, support project execution, analyze operational processes, track financials and KPIs, and maintain project documentation. The position will also contribute to Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Black Start readiness initiatives
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, analytical professional with experience working across data center operations and infrastructure projects. The ability to work effectively with technical teams, manage multiple priorities, translate complex requirements into actionable deliverables, and use operational data to drive informed decisions will be key to success in this role. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of Business Analyst, Project Analyst, or similar experience supporting data center, infrastructure, technology, or related projects
- Experience working with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools
- Strong experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements
- Experience translating requirements into functional and technical deliverables
- Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Some prior experience supporting Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, operational resiliency
- Basic understanding of critical data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and capacity management
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business, technical, and non-functional requirements
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions
- Create and maintain project documentation, process flows, release plans, and related deliverables
- Support project planning, scope management, scheduling, and status reporting
- Create and manage JIRA stories, tasks, action items, and project deliverables
- Maintain project and operational documentation within Confluence and Microsoft Office tools
- Develop dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics to support operational and project decision-making
- Analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvements
