Network Engineer
Contract: 12-Months (No C2C or Third-Party Vendors)
Location: Tallahassee, Florida (5 days, onsite)
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in LAN/WAN, routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security. This role requires experience in risk assessments, vulnerability management, complex troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise security initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in LAN/WAN, routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security. This role requires experience in risk assessments, vulnerability management, complex troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise security initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise network infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, routing and switching, wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and data center infrastructure.
- Experience developing and implementing enterprise security policies, standards, access controls, and vulnerability management procedures.
- Proficiency in network security architecture, including segmentation strategies, encryption, privileged access management, and secure remote access.
- Experience conducting cybersecurity risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills utilizing network monitoring, security logging, packet analysis, and performance management tools.
- Knowledge of industry security frameworks, regulatory requirements, incident response procedures, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong technical leadership and project management experience supporting enterprise network, cloud, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, including experience developing technical standards, security metrics, executive reports, and network architecture diagrams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and security solutions, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, cloud connectivity, and network segmentation.
- Develop and enforce enterprise security policies, technical standards, access controls, and procedures to protect critical systems and sensitive data.
- Conduct security risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation strategies to address emerging threats and operational risks.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats, network anomalies, unauthorized access attempts, and security incidents.
- Design and maintain secure network architectures and segmentation strategies to protect critical infrastructure, restrict lateral movement, and ensure network resiliency.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex network and security incidents, coordinating with technical teams, vendors, and organizational stakeholders.
