IT Data Architect
Contract: 12-Months (No C2C or Third-Party Vendors)
Location: Tallahassee, Florida (5 days, onsite)
We are seeking an experienced IT Data Architect to design, develop, and support enterprise data architecture and complex database environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in data modeling, metadata management, data integration and migration, and enterprise database technologies, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable data solutions.

We are seeking an experienced IT Data Architect to design, develop, and support enterprise data architecture and complex database environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in data modeling, metadata management, data integration and migration, and enterprise database technologies, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable data solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working with large, complex database management systems and enterprise data environments.
- Strong experience with data architecture, data modeling, data mining, data mapping, data profiling, metadata management, and database design.
- Experience with database platforms including Azure SQL Database, Snowflake, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise repository, data modeling, mapping, and profiling tools.
- Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements and translating them into data models, entity relationships, reporting structures, and technical solutions.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Web Services (SOAP, XML, UDDI, WSDL), and object-oriented technologies such as Java/J2EE and .NET.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain enterprise data architectures, data models, database structures, and reporting frameworks.
- Develop and implement enterprise data management processes, standards, procedures, and metadata practices.
- Analyze business requirements and translate functional needs into scalable data architecture and database solutions.
- Manage data and metadata migration, mapping, profiling, integration, and repository development.
- Develop data processing workflows and support data information system lifecycle activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture specifications, data models, and version-controlled documentation.
