Senior Business Analyst
Contract Length: 12months + potential extension

Location:  Remote position in Texas (**Must currently reside in Texas)

Our client is seeking a senior Business Analyst with the ability to work with complex systems analysis, software design, and testing to support the implementation of a critical solution. The ideal candidate will excel in documenting detailed system requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the quality and integrity of project deliverables.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and developing software specifications
  • Extensive experience in preparing and executing test plans, including testing interfaces, data conversion, and migration for large, complex systems
  • Proficiency in synthesizing data requirements, developing conceptual data models, and capturing design requirements for business reporting
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and practices
  • Experience with SDLC management software (e.g., HP ALM, Atlassian) and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, meetings, and collaborative sessions with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
  • Must have worked with projects involving hybrid (Waterfall/Agile) implementation methods
  • Previous government experience in adult education/workforce development programs is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot software systems effectively

Daily Duties:
  • Document detailed system requirements including functional, technical, EIR accessibility, and security aspects
  • Collaborate with business owners and technical teams to write and revise user stories.
  • Create business process maps, conceptual models, and system architecture diagrams
  • Develop and execute test cases and scenarios based on requirements
  • Design quality assurance test plans and coordinate user acceptance testing
  • Work closely with project team members to identify and document software defects, coordinating solutions with technical leads
  • Operate in a highly collaborative environment, balancing independent work with team interaction to meet project deadlines effectively.
