QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; certifications preferred!
- 8+ years of experience in information security management
- Proficiency in NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and Texas Information Security Standards
- 4+ years of experience working with critical timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in conducting and documenting risk assessments.
DUTIES:
- Assist with implementing and managing the Organization’s Secure System Development Lifecycle processes
- Coordinate the implementation of system security plans with agency personnel and external vendors
- Advise management and users on security configurations and procedures
- Develop plans to safeguard information systems and contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Conduct technical risk assessments and review new and existing applications and systems for security vulnerabilities
- Research, evaluate, and recommend systems and procedures for data security breach prevention and containment
