IoT/OT Security Monitoring Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)
Contract Position: 12-18 months

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Preferred certifications – CISSP, CEH, CCNA/CCNP
  • 8 years of experience in configuring or administering network security monitoring and incident response tools, with a focus on IoT/OT systems
  • 8+ years of experience in deploying and designing network security monitoring tools
  • 6 years of experience with network facilities, data processing techniques, and performance monitoring tool
  • 6 years of expertise in network protocols, including isolation and analysis techniques
  • Extensive experience utilizing SolarWinds NetFlow traffic analyzer
  • 2 years of experience with Cisco Cyber Vision products is highly desirable
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the deployment and management of IoT/OT security tools, ensuring effective monitoring and alerting for traffic network
  • Discover and monitor industrial assets and communication patterns, providing insights into network performance and identifying areas for optimization
  • Generate and manage alerts for deviations from performance norms and security policies, notifying appropriate TDOT contacts
  • Use Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) to capture and decode network traffic, detecting vulnerabilities and ensuring up-to-date deployments
