Technical Documentation and Communications Specialist
Contract Length: 6-12 months plus potential extension
Location: Dallas, Texas – Downtown (ONSITE)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Documentation and Communications Specialist to join one of our reputable clients. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of critical documentation, training materials, and communications across various platforms. This role is essential in providing employees with timely and relevant information needed for superior customer service and compliance with market and regulatory standards. Your contributions will help shape how the organization communicates internally and ensures employees are well-trained and informed.

Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., Knowledgebase, SharePoint)
  • Familiarity with digital adoption platforms (e.g., Whatfix)
  • Basic understanding of instructional design principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and evaluate existing content across the company’s knowledgebase, digital adoption platform, mobile apps, and other communication tools to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with business goals
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to document processes, procedures, and updates in a clear, concise, and consistent manner
  • Create user-friendly documentation, training manuals, and software simulations tailored to different audiences, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding
  • Manage the change control process for document updates, ensuring all changes are captured, reviewed, and communicated in a timely manner
  • Adhere to company style guides and templates for all documents and training materials
  • Ensure consistency in format, language, and style across platforms
  • Review materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and overall readability
  • Edit for clarity, consistency, and alignment with company standards
  • Provide ongoing support for the knowledgebase, digital adoption platform, and SharePoint site
  • Generate reports, analyze content effectiveness, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure all content and communications comply with relevant regulations, company policies, and guidelines concerning sensitive information
