Location: Northeast Dallas area (hybrid onsite 2 days/week)

We are excited to partner with our client in the search for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead and oversee the organization’s information security program. The CISO will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and industry best practices to safeguard critical information assets. This leadership position involves establishing and managing security policies, directing incident response strategies, and developing robust risk management frameworks in close collaboration with senior leadership. The CISO will also ensure that security controls are fully aligned with the organization’s business objectives, while championing a strong, enterprise-wide culture of information security.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Information and Cyber Security, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Relevant certifications are a must (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCISO, CISA).
  • Experience in highly regulated industries preferred (e.g., financial services, healthcare).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex security concepts in simple, business-friendly terms.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-wide information security policies and procedures.
  • Lead key security programs, including Cyber Security Operations, Incident Response, Identity & Access Management, and Security Architecture.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify security vulnerabilities, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GLBA, HIPAA, PCI) and monitor compliance across all security operations.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Information Security team, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Advise senior management and the Board of Directors on emerging security risks and ensure the implementation of effective controls.
  • Manage internal and external security audits, ensuring any deficiencies are addressed and corrected.
  • Foster a strong information security culture through training, awareness programs, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Lead incident management and response activities.
