Business Process and Policy Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic professional to lead the review and enhancement of our Policy Information Management System (PIMS). This role is responsible for strengthening the department-wide policy framework to support sustainable improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and align with public health accreditation standards. The position involves evaluating current systems, leading cross-functional policy reviews, and driving updates that improve accessibility, consistency, and communication of internal policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, with at least five (5) years of relevant experience, including two (2) years in a project management role.
  • Proven experience communicating and training across a range of stakeholders, from front-line staff to executive leadership.
  • Strong background in policy development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and juggling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Skilled in identifying areas for operational improvement and applying best practices.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current Policy Information Management System using established frameworks such as ASTHO’s Guide for Administrative Policy Assessment.
  • Provide expert technical writing and editing support to revise and finalize department-wide policy documents in line with accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee and lead a cross-functional Policy Review Subcommittee.
  • Enhance the central policy repository and improve processes for communicating policy updates to staff.
  • Finalize the “Policy on Policies” document, including associated procedures, templates, and training materials.
  • Lead the development of a consistent policy review process for new, revised, and retired policies.
  • Recommend and implement system improvements, including a 5-year review cycle, compliance tracking, change management strategies, and succession planning.
  • Conduct research, coordinate meetings, and engage with staff to ensure timely and effective project execution.
  • Deliver analysis and actionable recommendations to internal teams and leadership.
