QA Test Manager

We are seeking an experienced QA Test Manager Serve to lead advanced testing and analysis efforts across the software development lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience creating and executing detailed system and performance test plans across complex IT projects.
  • Proven experience with performance testing and monitoring using tools such as JMeter and JProfiler.
  • Hands-on expertise with a range of test automation tools, like JUnit, Selenium, and Microfocus UFT.
  • Solid background in unit testing frameworks and continuous integration environments.
  • Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle with a strong focus on QA/testing processes and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional testing teams, including scheduling, mentoring, and performance oversight.
  • Skilled in managing, performing, monitoring, and reporting on diverse test activities.
  • Extensive experience overseeing user acceptance testing (UAT), performance, accessibility, interface, and data conversion testing.
  • Adept at reviewing, updating, and creating comprehensive test strategies, test suites, and test scripts.
  • Proficient in documenting and reporting test results, defect tracking, and managing Problem Incident Reports (PIRs).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience writing and executing queries in DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with ALM Octane for application lifecycle and test management.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, including Jenkins, CVS, Maven, and Ant.
  • Testing management experience with commercial UI applications, particularly Sagitec’s Neosurance.
  • State of Texas experience, with knowledge of government IT processes and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage software issue diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution for internal and external clients.
  • Define and oversee the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy, including scope, resource alignment, and SME coordination, specific to UCFs.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to review vendor-provided UAT test cases and ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Guide business users and SMEs in test case creation, execution, and updates.
  • Act as the primary liaison among IT, business users, and development teams.
  • Lead defect triage sessions, manage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution.
  • Provide regular updates on UAT progress, results, and requirement coverage.
  • Ensure UAT exit criteria are met and obtain final business sign-off.
