Project Financial Analyst
Location:
Dallas, Texas (Onsite – 3 days/week)
Contract Role: 6-12 months


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Financial Analyst to support infrastructure and program delivery teams within a large-scale enterprise environment. This role is critical in driving accurate project financials, supporting budget planning, tracking expenditures, and collaborating across technical and business teams to ensure fiscal accountability and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in financial analysis within technology or infrastructure settings, along with excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, IT, or a related field
  • 4 years of experience in infrastructure, technology operations, or project financial analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget management, including forecasting, burn rate calculations, and variance analysis
  • Experience preparing monthly financial reports and communicating findings to project managers
  • Hands-on experience with CapEx project budget planning and development
  • 1 year of experience using Planview or other project portfolio management tools
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in MS Project, MS Visio, and the full Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with technologies and tools such as JIRA, VMware, Windows, Linux, Oracle, and SQL is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent documentation and reporting abilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track and manage project financial data including budget forecasts, burn down rates, and actuals
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analysis for presentation to project managers and leadership
  • Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders on CapEx budget planning and development
  • Support infrastructure teams by coordinating financial tasks across multiple workstreams
  • Maintain structured project documentation and financial tracking using tools like Confluence and Excel
  • Validate data accuracy across systems and reconcile discrepancies
  • Assist with hardware/software asset tracking and inventory management as needed
  • Provide support for task/resource planning using JIRA, MS Project, and related tools
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors
