Project Financial Coordinator with Planview Location: Dallas, Texas (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week) Contract Duration: 6–12 months
We’re looking for a detail-driven Project Financial Coordinator with Planview experience to support a dynamic portfolio of infrastructure and technology initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This role is essential in ensuring project financials are accurate, well-documented, and aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations, experience with project portfolio management tools, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
Minimum of 4 years' experience in financial coordination, project accounting, or similar roles within technology or operations environments
2+ years of hands-on experience working with project/portfolio management systems (specific experience with Planview tool is required)
Strong working knowledge of financial tracking processes including forecasting, budget reconciliation, and cost analysis
Comfortable reviewing and validating financial entries submitted by project teams to ensure consistency and compliance
Skilled in leading or facilitating financial status meetings, with the ability to ask meaningful questions and guide teams toward financial clarity
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear and actionable reporting
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders, including project managers and leadership
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and validate financial data across multiple initiatives, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, and related financial inputs
Coordinate and lead recurring financial checkpoints with project teams to review health of budgets, identify variances, and align on corrective actions
Provide hands-on support to project teams in using financial tools and templates, ensuring proper usage and data consistency
Consolidate project financials and generate monthly reporting packages with clear commentary on trends, risks, and performance indicators
Recommend improvements to financial tracking workflows and support the implementation of more efficient practices where possible
Act as a liaison between delivery teams and leadership to ensure financial information is clearly communicated and aligned with priorities
Maintain accurate financial records across platforms, contributing to forecasting, accrual planning, and resource budgeting
Support demand planning and portfolio updates by ensuring all relevant projects and associated financials are reflected in the PPM toolset
