Applications Support Analyst
Location: Plano, Texas (Onsite 5 days per week)
Contract Position: 6 month contract-to-hire*

We are looking for and experienced Applications Support Analyst to partner with business stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational strategies. This role supports multiple moderate-to-complex business processes and may serve as a technical lead. This role is responsible for analyzing requirements, supporting enterprise applications (both SaaS/cloud-based and on-premise), troubleshooting issues, and ensuring effective technology integration across departments.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (experience may substitute for up to four years)
  • Eight years of experience as an Application Support Analyst or similar role
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS and cloud-based applications
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications that run on-premise and collaborating with server operations teams to solve problems
  • Strong SQL and SQL reporting skills
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices for service delivery and incident management
  • Knowledge of system analysis, application design, Windows OS, network communications, troubleshooting, and IT security standards
  • Experience with client-server or enterprise-class applications preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Class C Driver’s License (Texas license required within 30 days of hire)
  • Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and CJIS clearance (if supporting public safety)
  • Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, MTA Security, MTA Database Fundamentals

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business units and IT to deliver effective enterprise solutions across SaaS, cloud-based, and on-premise applications
  • Support business process redesign, documentation, and technology enhancements
  • Develop and review test cases, execute SIT/UAT, and validate results with SQL queries and reporting
  • Investigate, resolve, and escalate issues; ensure solutions align with client needs and ITIL best practices
  • Perform change management activities, including evaluating and implementing requests
  • Collaborate with server operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in enterprise applications
  • Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to less experienced team members
  • Research hardware/software products and recommend technology improvements
  • Support application implementations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance including patches, fixes, and preventive updates
  • Document resolutions, maintain knowledge bases, and post technical resources for users
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office on assigned technology projects
  • Ensure compliance with IT security, emergency procedures, and applicable standards
