Our client is seeking an experienced FileMaker professional to assist with the recovery and migration of its existing FileMaker Server v13 environment to FileMaker Cloud. This is a three-phase project that includes recovering administrative access, replicating database structure in the cloud, and transferring and validating the database contents.
The current FileMaker environment is hosted on-premise, with a current active FileMaker Cloud subscription. The existing database includes approximately 7,300 records across 45 fields (text, number, date, calculation, and summary fields). There are no container fields.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with Claris FileMaker Server v13 and FileMaker Cloud
Expertise in FileMaker database migration, backup, and structure replication
Strong understanding of database integrity verification techniques
Ability to recover access to legacy FileMaker systems
Experience with public sector or government database environments is highly desirabl
Familiarity with secure database transfer processes
Strong written communication skills for producing certification and reporting deliverables
The Agency may require adjustments to the scope based on results of Phase 1.
Final deliverables will be accepted only upon successful certification of data transfer and integrity.
Scope of Work
Phase 1: Recover Admin Access and Back Up On-Premise Database
Regain administrative-level access to FileMaker Server v13.
Generate new admin credentials for agency use.
Create two local backups of the on-premise FileMaker database.
Phase 2: Recreate Database Structure on FileMaker Cloud
Build a new, unpopulated FileMaker Cloud database that matches the schema of the on-premise system.
Phase 3: Data Transfer and Verification
Upload database copy to FileMaker Cloud
Conduct verification to ensure all records and data fields are successfully transferred and functional
Compare at least 350 nonsequential records to original on-premise versions
Provide final certification to the agency
