Human Resources Generalist - Workday Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid – Onsite 4 days per week) Permanent Position
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support core HR functions such as onboarding, recruitment, compensation, employee relations, benefits administration, and engagement initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and retention. This role plays a key part in supporting the implementation and ongoing optimization of Workday, including data migration, system testing, user training, and daily HRIS operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience
Workday HRIS experience required
Strong understanding of HR principles and employment practices
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience working in public sector, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and pre-employment processes
Assist with employee onboarding, engagement, and recognition programs
Track and coordinate employee leaves, accommodations, and workers’ compensation cases
Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management matters
Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports
Manage HRIS transactions, data integrity, and reporting
