We are seeking an experienced Citrix Administrator to manage and optimize large-scale Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. This role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable virtual desktop services across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Citrix and Windows Server administration, strong networking fundamentals, and a proactive approach to automation, performance monitoring, and security compliance.
Qualifications:
At least 7 years of experience administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops / Citrix DaaS and/or Azure Virtual Desktop.
At least 5 years of experience managing Windows Server environments (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, patching, and updates).
Strong proficiency in networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, subnets/VLANs, DNS, load balancing, ACLs, and firewall rule management.
Advanced PowerShell scripting skills and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, etc.).
Demonstrated experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across Citrix/AVD, Windows Server, and network layers.
Experience with Azure network security, public-sector security frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53), and CIS hardening benchmarks.
Relevant certifications preferred: Citrix CCA-V, CCP-V, or CCE-V; Microsoft AZ-104 or AZ-140; ITIL Foundation; CompTIA Network+/Security+.
Windows Server Platform: Build, patch, and harden Windows Server 2022 systems; manage AD, GPO, DNS, and DHCP. Automate tasks using PowerShell and configuration tools such as MECM/Intune or ARM/Bicep/Terraform.
Networking & Security: Apply TCP/IP fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and ACL/firewall rule management across multiple layers. Implement least-privilege connectivity and maintain network and system security.
Monitoring & Operations: Use Citrix Director/Analytics, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics for performance tracking, capacity optimization, and incident response. Drive root cause analysis and maintain clear documentation and SOPs.
Governance & Compliance: Adhere to established security, configuration, and change management standards. Support vulnerability remediation, backup/DR readiness, and platform hardening.
Collaboration & Support: Partner with internal teams and application owners to troubleshoot issues, publish applications, and deliver a consistent, high-quality user experience. Participate in on-call rotations for critical incidents.
