Business Analyst
Location: Remote, USA (must currently reside in the US for consideration)
Contract Position: 12months+

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and can translate requirements into actionable solutions that drive organizational efficiency and performance.

The Business Analyst will work closely with IT Project Managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define, document, and validate system requirements across multiple program areas. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and documentation skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and experience supporting full life cycle software implementation projects.

Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of proven experience gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements
  • Strong background in process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and problem-solving for large software systems
  • Experience developing BRDs, SRS documents, and leading requirements workshops
  • Skilled in SDLC methodologies and tools such as HP ALM or Atlassian
  • Experience with large-scale legacy system integrations and interface testing
  • Familiarity with Unemployment Insurance Systems or UI State Information Data Exchange Systems strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document complex business and system requirements
  • Develop and maintain detailed Business Requirement Documents, Software Requirement Specifications, and user stories
  • Create business process maps, conceptual models, and use case diagrams to support design and implementation
  • Conduct fit-gap analyses and troubleshoot issues across multiple program areas
  • Lead and assist in test planning, execution, and documentation of results to ensure quality and traceability
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and collaborative sessions to align requirements and resolve challenges
  • Support the development of project plans, test cases, and lifecycle artifacts for solution delivery
