Program Architect – Amazon Connect (CCaaS)
Location: Dallas – On Site (downtown 3 days/week)
Engagement Type: 18+ month Contract



We are seeking a Program Architect to provide architectural leadership for a large-scale Amazon Connect (CCaaS) implementation program. This role is responsible for guiding solution design, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams, managing architectural dependencies, and escalating risks that could impact the broader transformation initiative. The Program Architect will operate within an enterprise Solution Architecture function and collaborate closely with solution architects, technical leads, and delivery teams. Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills are essential.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • AWS Professional Solutions Architect Certification
  • Amazon Connect Communications Specialist badge
  • 10+ years of experience in IT application development
  • 7+ years of experience architecting enterprise applications and solutions
  • 3+ years serving as a Lead or Program Architect on complex initiatives
  • 5+ years managing or leading architectural teams
  • 3+ years architecting Amazon Connect (CCaaS) solutions
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and application development lifecycles
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity risks and enterprise IT governance
  • Experience with contact center and technologies
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure)

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the architectural subject matter expert for Amazon Connect (CCaaS) across the program
  • Own architectural decision-making and represent solution design at program and governance levels
  • Maintain a Program Architecture Plan aligned with enterprise standards
  • Ensure consistency across high-level and low-level designs and resolve cross-workstream design conflicts
  • Identify, track, and escalate technical risks and architectural design debt
  • Coordinate architecture activities across multiple projects to ensure alignment with enterprise and domain guidance
  • Act as the primary escalation point for Architecture Review Board (ARB) matters
  • Participate in architecture and solution review forums to ensure alignment with enterprise strategies
  • Ensure architecture repositories reflect program-wide decisions and lessons learned
  • Shape and drive the solution architecture roadmap using cloud, application, and domain expertise
  • Guide the design of scalable, secure, and highly available architectures
  • Support design and validation of cloud-native and hybrid solutions, including:
o Serverless architectures, microservices, and SOA
o AWS infrastructure, networking, security, and storage
o DevOps, container platforms, and infrastructure automation
  • Validate solutions against functional, non-functional, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Support vendor and product evaluations as needed
  • Deliver high-quality architectural outcomes on time and within budget
  • Proactively identify risks and drive resolution
