IT Applications Manager Location: Plano, Texas (Onsite) Contract-to-Hire Position: 3 months (conversion to permanent)

We are seeking an IT Applications Manager to ensure applications transition smoothly from development into stable, secure production environments. This leader partners with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and operations teams to coordinate releases, manage priorities, resolve production issues, and improve delivery processes. The role is accountable for CI/CD pipelines, Salesforce and enterprise application deployments, monitoring and performance metrics, and removing obstacles that slow execution. The focus is dependable delivery, system reliability, and ensuring technology solutions meet business needs without compromising security or quality.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
5+ years of management experience overseeing application development and/or operations teams
Strong CI/CD and automation expertise, including release management, deployment automation, environment management, and observability
Salesforce platform experience, with Public Sector Solutions preferred, including OmniStudio, metadata management, integrations, and DevOps rigor across environments
Experience overseeing secure, reliable integrations across SaaS, on-prem, and third-party systems such as ERP, HR, and custom .NET applications
Background in production support, incident response, root cause analysis, and improving application reliability
Strong security and quality focus, partnering with Information Security to embed secure development, QA, and code review standards into delivery pipelines
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily operations for application delivery, production stability, and release execution
Plan, coordinate, and manage release schedules across Salesforce and enterprise platforms
Monitor operational performance and drive reliability improvements using metrics and reporting
Direct and review work of analysts, developers, and technical staff to ensure quality delivery
Manage incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Partner with business leaders, vendors, and IT teams to align priorities and resolve issues
Establish operating standards, workflows, and deadlines to improve execution and accountability
Support security, backup, disaster recovery, and user support processes
Hire, coach, and develop team members, supporting performance management as needed
Evaluate technology needs and recommend improvements to systems, tools, and processes
Prepare operational reports and manage budgets and expenditures for the function
