Principal Business Process Transformation Consultant
Location: Austin, TX (Remote)
Contract Position: 6-12 months+

We are seeking a Principal Business Process Transformation Consultant to lead high-impact operational transformation initiatives within a large, complex enterprise environment. This role will focus on evaluating and redesigning critical business processes to eliminate inefficiencies, improve scalability, and establish consistent operating models across the organization. This role requires the ability to move beyond analysis to lead transformation initiatives, influence stakeholders, and deliver practical solutions.

The consultant will work with operational leadership, technology teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze current workflows, identify systemic inefficiencies, and design future-state processes that support modernization and improved operational performance. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver with deep experience leading enterprise process improvement efforts and driving measurable operational change.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in business process transformation, operational strategy, management consulting, or enterprise business analysis.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational improvement or process transformation initiatives
  • Strong expertise in process mapping, operational analysis, and future-state operating model design.
  • Proven ability to translate complex operational challenges into scalable and sustainable business solutions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams in decentralized organizational environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization, digital transformation, or operational efficiency
  • Lean, Lean Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodology certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end analysis and redesign of complex operational processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for enterprise-level improvement.
  • Assess current operating models and workflows to understand how work moves across teams, systems, and organizational boundaries.
  • Design future-state processes that streamline operations, improve consistency, and enable scalable, efficient ways of working.
  • Develop strategic recommendations that enhance operational effectiveness while supporting governance, compliance, and organizational objectives.
  • Partner with technology and delivery teams to translate business process improvements into functional requirements and modernization initiatives.
  • Facilitate working sessions and workshops with business leaders and subject matter experts to evaluate current processes and align stakeholders around transformation opportunities.
  • Provide thought leadership to teams on operational strategy and process optimization.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure transformation initiatives are practical, implementable, and aligned with broader organizational goals.
  • Establish performance metrics and success measures to track operational improvements and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support change management and adoption efforts to ensure successful implementation of new processes.
