Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Workday Consultant to support the ongoing development, optimization, configuration, and maintenance of its cloud-based Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role partners closely with HR leaders, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to ensure Workday solutions effectively support organizational goals and deliver an exceptional employee experience. The successful candidate will combine strong functional Workday expertise with consulting, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive system enhancements, support strategic initiatives, and provide guidance on best practices across multiple HR functional areas.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 7 years of HRIS consulting, administration, or implementation experience
Strong hands-on Workday experience required
Proficiency in the majority of the following Workday functional areas:
HCM (Staffing, Jobs, Organizations), Time Off and Leave, Worker Data, Onboarding, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, Performance Management, Recruiting, Payroll, Security, Integrations, Reporting
Strong consulting, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable system solutions
Knowledge of cloud-based HR technology platforms and business process design
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience working within Agile project environments
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and security
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
Occasional travel may be required
Responsibilities:
Provide advanced support and resolution for Workday and HRIS-related issues
Gather business requirements, perform system configuration, testing, validation, and deployment of changes across multiple Workday functional areas
Collaborate with HR, business leaders, and subject matter experts to improve business processes, workflows, security configurations, reporting, and system functionality
Review, test, and evaluate Workday releases and enhancements; recommend and implement new features that align with business objectives
Serve as a Workday subject matter expert for enterprise-wide initiatives, including acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic projects
Configure and implement new functionality to meet evolving business needs
Partner with technical teams to assess the impact of configuration and data changes on integrated systems and downstream processes
Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, training materials, and knowledge resources
Stay current on Workday capabilities, HR technology trends, and industry best practices
Drive continuous improvement initiatives with automation, system optimization, process efficiency, and user experience
Support HRIS governance, data integrity, compliance, and security standards
Ensure alignment between HR processes and technology solutions
Provide guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to team members and stakeholders as needed
Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to the successful delivery of HR technology initiatives
