Software Automation Tester
Location – North Dallas, TX area

Qualifications/Requirements
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Must have at least 5 years of documenting test strategy and creating detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, verification and validation documents and quality test data to ensure all software developed meet the defined requirements prior to the production release
  • Must have 3+ years of experience in writing automation scripts and executing them
  • Experience in analyzing bug reports and highlight solutions to help remediate
  • Experience using Tools like: Jira, Confluence, GIT, Bitbucket
  • Experience using database query: SQL
  • Experience in utilizing test automation frameworks e.g. JUnit, TestNG
  • Some experience in in programming languages such as C#, Python, SQL, .NET, VBScript
  • Familiar with Cloud and Software-As-A-Service (SAAS) concepts
  • Strong preference for experience working in B2C environment
  • Strong experience in software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and Test Driven development
  • Proficient with MS Office suite of products

The Sr. Software Automation Tester will be part of an agile scrum team, and call upon to deliver well-designed, documented, and tested modern software applications that fully meet customer requirements.
 
Daily Duties:
  • Assist in the creation, preparation, development and execution of test strategies, test plans and test analysis
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to define strategies, implementation approaches and provide creative solutions to complex problems
  • Ensure test cases and automated test scripts are written and tested on time
  • Perform functional, regression, ad-hoc, exploratory, smoke testing, integration testing and any other kind of software testing needed for the application in a timely manner
  • Create well-designed, documented, and tested software solutions that meet strict availability, concurrency and low latency requirements
  • Support multiple scrum delivery teams with estimation for testing software applications
  • Estimate the testing activities accurately to ensure that the production deployments are not impacted by testing schedules
  • Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation required for validation and analysis
  • Execute benchmark, load, stress, and other non-functional tests
  • Identify test scenarios to automate testing, including critical path, high risk functionality, tests prone to human error, tests that require multiple data sets, tests that take more time to perform manually and tests that are repetitive
  • Document test strategy and create detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts and quality test data to ensure all software developed meet the defined requirements prior to the production release
