Senior CI/CD Platform Administrator
Contract Length:
12-18 months+
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid 3 days onsite)


Our client is undergoing a major transformation in how they manage code and deliver software across the enterprise. They’re seeking a Senior CI/CD Platform Administrator with deep experience in infrastructure automation, and toolchain modernization to support this shift.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys simplifying complexity, building scalable systems, and driving meaningful change across development pipelines.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of experience administering complex enterprise tools
  • Strong hands-on experience with GitLab, Artifactory, Xray, SonarQube
  • Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Solid grasp of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud)
  • Skilled in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Familiar with legacy systems like Jenkins, SVN, Bitbucket, Puppet, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD concepts, SDLC methodologies, and DevOps culture

Bonus Points For:
  • GitLab Certified Administrator
  • Previous experience in release engineering or DevOps transformation initiatives

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead migration efforts from legacy tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Automic) to modern platforms (GitLab, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Administer and optimize GitLab at scale (runners, permissions, groups, backups, etc.)
  • Build, secure, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD (YAML)
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and pipeline operations with Terraform and Ansible
  • Support and guide development teams in adopting GitOps workflows and best practices
  • Integrate observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) for system and pipeline health
  • Collaborate across teams to drive standardization, documentation, and tooling adoption
  • Provide operational support and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations
