Network Systems Administrators #486

Our client is requiring 2 Network Systems Administrators for a large government project in the Orlando, FL area.  These roles will be permanent and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the infrastructure.  The Network Systems Administrators will also collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. The ideal candidates will have a strong Linux admin background and strong knowledge of VMware products and platforms.

**Must be US Citizen due to government contracts and security requirements
**Candidates MUST have a current (or expired) DOD or TS clearance

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure (Operating Systems, Applications, Network Protocols)
  • Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools
  • Establish and maintain up-to-date cybersecurity configurations with regular system audits
  • Develop and maintain configuration management solutions
  • Develop test automation frameworks in collaboration with rest of the team
  • Create tools to help teams make the most out of the available infrastructure
  • Ability to support critical operations with rotating work schedules when required

Education and/or Experience:    
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field
  • MUST HAVE at least 4+ years of Linux System Administration
  • Certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, RHCSA etc)
  • Strong proficiency with vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platforms
  • Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages (Bash/Shell, Python, Perl)
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, nginx,
  • Strong grasp on configuration management tools, such as Puppet and Chef 
  • Familiarity with load balancing and firewalls
  • Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy
  • Experience with VMware administration tools
  • Ability to build and monitor services on production servers
  • Knowledge of servers and switches
 
Additional Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • DOD and TS clearance required (may consider expired clearances)
  • Must be open to regional travel as required
