IT Project Manager
Contract – 12-18 months
Location – Austin, TX (Hybrid 3 days in office)


Our Client is an elite organization relied upon to provide trustworthy, up to the minute data. We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager to join this amazing team for several new statewide initiatives.  The current position will be responsible for managing components of highly complex and visible projects and program initiatives.

This is a long term project that could be extended up to 3 years pending renewal approvals. Come advance your career with this reputable organization!

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
  • PMP certification is highly preferred
  • Previous government agency experience preferred
  • At least 7 years of experience working with complex technical project management initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead and implement large scale Infrastructure and Operations projects throughout SDLC
  • Experience in running security projects, especially Identity & Access Management
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders to gather requirements from business divisions
  • Experience creating and maintaining project timelines, identifying and mitigating risks
  • Strong communication capability with stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate large group meetings with internal and external client resources
  • Skilled in creating and presenting executive level project communications
  • Ability to educate a variety of staff on standardized processes

General Duties:
  • Overall project management and governance to deliver work products on time and within budget
  • Develop, define, and execute project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, and deliverables
  • Collaborate with end-users, key stakeholders and vendors to ensure ongoing status updates on deliverables
  • Maintain and manage timelines for multiple project deadlines
  • Continuously identify project risks and issues and proactively manage a plan to mitigate risks and resolve issues
  • Manage ongoing project contractual obligations, client needs and goals
