IT Systems Vendor Manager Location: REMOTE, Texas Contract: 18-24 months
Our client is in need of an IT Systems Vendor Manager who will be responsible for the engagement, coordination, and oversight of vendor integration with the specified requirements for a variety of projects. The IT Vendor manager will be expected to provide consulting on a variety of initiatives and upgrades to current systems.
This position may be performed remotely and the IT Vendor Manager is expected to work under minimal management direction with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The work involves highly complex computer systems analysis work and the ability to plan and organize assignments effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
BS/BA in Business, Computer Science or a related field – Master’s degree preferred
7+ years of experience in Systems/Data Analysis/Enterprise Resource Planning
6+ years of experience in Project Management, Strategic Planning and stakeholder communication
4+ years of experience in Software Requirements gathering and Business Analysis functions
Experience writing proposals and delivering presentations
Prior experience in the Public Education arena, especially in the state of Texas is highly preferred
Ability to professionally deliver complex content and respond to questions
Ability to deliver efficiencies and service improvements, leading on continuous improvement initiatives
Daily Duties:
Responsible for ongoing vendor coordination, vendor support, and communication to stakeholders
Review and identify vendors and their ability to update their existing products to meet the specifications and requirements of the project
Review and interpret data reporting requirements for the project to effectively convey business guidance and technical direction to vendors
Ensure technical documentation, guidance, and resources are made available in a timely manner
Schedule and facilitate monthly meetings with vendors to monitor progress and identify issues
Develop and distribute progress reports to executive management and project stakeholders
Act as liaison with vendors and work directly technical teams to resolve vendor questions and issues in a timely manner
Oversee the distribution of the software development kit (SDK) to vendors and solicit feedback
Establish partnerships with vendors for end-to-end testing and to validate product readiness
Develop high quality communications for statewide distribution to include technical guidance, project updates, and best practices for vendors
Facilitate and conduct statewide webinars through remote meeting platforms
Provide frequent status reporting and recommendations to senior management based upon vendor progress and challenges
