Senior Telecom Implementation Project Manager
Contract: 12 months+
Austin, TX (WFH with occasional visits to client sites)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field – or significant Project Management experience
  • At least 8 years of experience working in the telecommunications industry
  • Experience leading telecommunication related projects working with carriers or have managed projects directly for a carrier
  • Project Management background
  • PMP certification is highly preferred
  • ITIL Certification desired 
  • Excellent communication skills are required
  • Ability to work under limited direction, with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
Our client is in need of a seasoned Telecom Project Manager with a background in voice and data implementations.  The PM will be working to implement a local, long-distance and toll-free telephone service along with data solutions for broadband, internet, MPLS for a variety of government agencies and their workers. 
  • Lead and contribute to the implementation of services
  • Coordinate with key personnel, both internal team members and outside vendor partners, to plan and execute the steps necessary to “on-board” new programs and services 
  • Facilitate effective project communication, planning, issue management, collaboration, and information sharing to all stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to timely delivery, and quality standards and processes
  • Perform occasional site visits to inspect and observe that project is progressing according to the implementation scheduled plans and specifications of the project
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to service providers in support of the program
  • Plan and coordinate tasks and activities along with the other contract owners
  • Monitor and report on the progress of project related activities
  • Keep Leadership informed regarding progress, any issues that could impact the project (time, cost and/or quality)

  • Develop plans for, and assist with, communications to customers and vendors, providing guidance and instruction for post “go-live”
