IT Programs Instructor/Trainer Location: Austin, TX (ON SITE) Project Length: 12-18 months
We are in need of Trainers for a 12-18 month contract role to perform highly complex (senior level) training work that involves coordinating, developing, evaluating, and conducting training sessions using a variety of methods. The ideal candidate(s) will lead the delivery of the training to all the existing users, project managers and project resources for an Immunization Campaign for children and students in conjunction with State and Federal requirements.
The Trainer(s) will be required to be ON SITE in Austin, TX.
**This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a great new project rollout. The position offers a solid compensation package with some additional advancement/extension opportunities into other departments if interested.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field
At least 6 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing training curricula
Minimum 5 years of experience conducting classes regarding standard operating procedures of various software solutions, IT security, IT system installation, software programming, system maintenance
Experience with web based learning management systems and e-Learning authoring tools
Previous experience working with local, state, and national laws, rules, regulations, and policies relevant to Immunization services/programs
5+ years utilizing Captivate training software
5+ years utilizing Moodle training software
Experience generating accurate reports and materials under short deadlines
Ability to identify problems, evaluate alternatives and implement effective solutions
Strong oral and written communication
Excellent presentation/delivery skills with experience delivering in person and virtual classes
Experience with Microsoft platform - SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
Basic understanding of EIR Accessibility and assistive technologies used by people with disabilities
Ability to multi-task and perform according to deadlines and release schedules
Daily Duties:
Prepare, conduct, and deliver the training programs in conjunction with the CDC’s annual Immunization Program Operations Manual
Develop training curricula, formulate training objectives, and produce training aids
Evaluate data and reports on training programs and materials
Provide information and draft content for reports, work plans, contracts and other documents as needed
Facilitate workshops and meetings
Collect data and analyze audiences and training needs, based on new business processes and policies, and apply these into successful training delivery
Provide resources and information to all users (classes, workshops, handouts, etc.)
Deliver on-site and web-based training courses as required
Facilitate other virtual classes, seminars and links for “how-to” guides
Plan and maintain training schedules/calendar/logs
Respond to training requests and new user requirements
