Sr. Business Analyst #2176

Position – Senior Level Business Analyst
Contract Opportunity – 24-36 months
Location – Austin, TX (remote but local to Austin)

We are searching for a strong Sr. Business Analyst for a long-term project with our State Education client. The Business Analyst will work multiple projects that support the mission of the client to improve outcomes for Texas students. This role will  serve as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team to ensure requirement flow. Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role with a background in process re-engineering and process flow improvement
  • Strong development of user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices
  • Background designing mockups and/or wireframes that confirm to UX best practices
  • Experience working on projects utilizing Agile project management methodologies
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with “Modern Requirements” and Atlassian Jira
  • Experience in effective general written/oral communication, including documenting requirements, deliverables, test scenarios and project status
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management software
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills – written/verbal
  • Demonstrated experience working for state or local education agencies

Daily Duties:
  • Advanced support of multiple projects as well as more specialized requests at any time
  • Collaborate with clients, technicians, and managerial staff to gather requirements and evaluate business processes
  • Perform requirements analysis and documentation
  • Manage requirements specification
  • Verify the fulfillment of all requirements, including requirements for enhancements post-implementation
  • Uncover areas for improvement and enhancements while developing risk mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate changes to user and system requirements
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion/implementation of projects
