Sr. Technical Contracts Manager #1959

Sr. Technical Contracts Manager
Contract – 12-18 months
Location – Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Associate’s Degree in Business or a related field - Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least 5+ years of experience working with IT contracts, vendor management, data management and reporting
  • Strong background in data analytics and technical specifications
  • Previous experience in state or federal government purchasing or contract management is required
  • Contract Management Certificate(s) are preferred
  • ServiceNow, or other IT ticketing application knowledge is highly desirable
  • ITIL foundation certification or previous training is required
  • Knowledge of  State Laws, Contracting, Procurement with IT type contracts (development and negotiations)
  • Previous experience developing program guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Possess current knowledge of business trends, government regulations, commercial business laws and regulations, software licensing practices
  • Experience with negotiation and pricing techniques for contract negotiation
  • Ability to maintain a system of record keeping
  • Ability to interpret regulations and convey them to non-technical audience
  • Strong background in MS Office – specifically MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills – written/verbal

General Duties:
  • Manage and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for internal and external IT Service providers
  • Ensure timely performance data, primarily for Service Level and Invoice reporting
  • Develop and manage strategic contracts that reflect customers’ needs and take account of legislation, H&S, fraud prevention, sustainability, and workforce issues
  • Review and manage customer expenditures to be in line with overall strategy for the organization (including SLAs, KPIs, change requests, communications and escalations)
  • Maintain contract file information into contract management databases
  • Ensure all information stored is in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Deliver efficiencies and service improvements while evaluating continuous improvement initiatives for customer experience
  • Review ongoing contracts/documents/compliance reports for expiration and renewal periods
  • Ensure regular benchmarking and alternative service modelling activities
  • Support non-technical staff with Technical writing or editing of functional requirement documents
  • Continuously explore opportunities for collaboration across public sector agencies
  • Keep abreast with latest trends and sector initiatives
